About us

For 4 generations and counting, the Anastasi family has provided live and fresh seafood on South 9th street in the heart of Philadelphia’s Italian Market. Our great grandfather, Thomas Anastasi, started his fish business in the early 1900’s selling fish off a cart he pushed throughout South Philly. Thomas and his wife had six children and eventually three of the son’s formed their own business, selling fruits and vegetables in the market, but our grandfather Salvatore and his brother Freddy decided to follow in their father’s footsteps and sell fish. My brother and I were raised in the Italian Market and our earliest memories are of helping our father in the mornings at the original location of 905 S. 9th Street. All of our children grew up in the market helping us and as of today, still continue to do so. 

 We recently relocated to our new location at 1039 S. 9th Street where we offer hand picked selections of premium quality products sourced daily, along with cooked and prepared food to go. We are old fashioned fish mongers that do all the cuts in house, providing the best quality for your table. Over the years we have served all walks of life, from celebrities to politicians to our loyal neighbors. Our Commitment is to love and serve all that enter our market and we look forward to serving you!
